Data Centre Operator job in . at Goldtech Resources Pte Ltd

• Perform day-to-day data centre / computer operations
• Ensure physical security procedures are adhered

1. Physical escort to DC
2. Equipment movement
3. Cage and Rack access

• Maintain DC access logs, service reports, etc.
• Datacenter monitoring, data collection & documentation for audit purpose
• Systems backup

1. Ejecting tapes from library and inserting scratch tapes
2. Keeping track of onsite/offsite tape rotation
3. Maintaining physical records of tape inventory
4. Tape management
5. Prepare backup success/failure reports

• Update inventory documents and track movement of equipment in and out of DC
• Facilities and Infrastructure checks in the data centre
• Standard Smarts Hand service

1. Server Reboot/Shutdown
2. UTP/Fibre patching

• Trouble ticket and service request management
• Facilitate RMA processes and management with vendors
• Provide necessary escalations to higher support tier and work with internal teams

Requirements

• Experienced with Data Center operation procedures and best practices
• Working knowledge of physical IT infrastructure components
• Strong initiative and able to work independently
• Good communication skills
• Able to work rotating shifts at various locations
• Knowledge in NetBackup & Veritas backup management a plus
• Knowledge in ServiceNow a plus
