JOB TITLE: Human Resource Executive

REPORTS TO :Human Resource Manager

DEPARTMENT: Human Resource

 

1.                Primary responsibilities

 

1.1   To assist in the overall effective co-ordination of human resources activities of the Hotel, in order to attract and develop highly productive and trained personnel in the Hotel.

2.                Job Function

 

2.1             Recruitment

a)                To prepare letters of appointment, termination of services and other related employment documentation for all levels of staff.

b)               To source, attract, select and recruit the desired number and quality of staff to meet operational requirements on a timely basis. To assist in conductiong reference checking.

c)                To liaise with advertising agent on the placement of recruitment advertisements.

d)               To conduct exit interviews and assist to prepare monthly management reports and statistics on labour headcount/turnover.

e)               To conduct orientation and induction programme for new hires.

 

2.2             Industrial Relations

a)                To provide appropriate counseling and employee relations services.

b)               Responsible for handling good labour and management relations.

 

2.3             Staff Welfare

To administer the Medical Co-payment Scheme and to liaise with Insurance Company.

a)                 

b)               To assist in the organizing of staff recreational activities aimed to promote spirit de corps

c)                To co-ordinate the annual Dinner and Dance.

d)               To co-ordinate the Employee Recognition Award etc

e)               To co-ordinate the monthly birthday party

 

 

2.4        Personal Administration

a)            To set-up, maintain ad update staff records, including personal files, leave records, etc on an appropriate human resource information system.

b)            To handle application, renewal and cancellation of work permits and employment passes for foreign workers.

 

 

 

2.5          Training and Development

a)            To assist in administering/monitoring the Total Company Training Plan.

b)            To assist in processing and monitoring SDF claims.

c)                To administer training documentation and records.

d)               To collate returns on post-course training evaluation.

 

2.6          Others

a)            To recommend and assist in the formulation of human resource policies and procedures and ensure their proper implementation and compliance.

b)            To provide advice on compensation and benefit issues including the conduct of appropriate surveys.

c)            To assist in the annual performance and salary review exercise and to follow up with the monthly confirmation staff.

d)            To liaise and co-ordinate with educational institutions and agents on trainee attachments (both local and foreign).

e)            To monitor the conditions and follow-up on repairs of hostel for foreign employees.

 

2.7          Recreations and Welfare

 

a)                To chair and maintain a structured mechanism responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating yearly sports and recreational activities for the staff .

b)               To ensure events organized are well-planned and successful.

 

2.8          Any other suitable tasks as and when assigned by Manager.
