Assistant Director (International Relations Strategy)


Rapid urbanisation and growing concerns about sustainable development have increased foreign interest in MND's expertise in urban planning and management, public housing, construction, food and greening.

As Assistant Director (International Relations Strategy), you will be part of a team that drives MND's foreign engagements to leverage opportunities to achieve MND's objectives, support Singapore's broader bilateral engagements, and nurture an external wing for our companies. These involve:

  • Reviewing and recommending MND's foreign engagement approaches;
  • Developing cultivation plans and priorities;
  • Preparing briefs and reports for senior management;
  • Planning and executing exchanges with foreign dignitaries in Singapore and overseas;
  • Working closely with other government agencies such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade and Industry, and Statutory Boards in the MND Family.


  • A degree in any discipline;
  • Deep interest in international and domestic affairs;
  • Strong analytical and conceptual abilities;
  • Excellent written and oral communication;
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team;
  • Demonstrated a good track record of project management capabilities;
  • Strong planning and organisational abilities, with a keen eye for details;
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver under tight timeline; and
  • Applicants with at least¬†five¬†years of working experience preferred. Knowledge of the mechanisms of foreign diplomacy, processes and dynamics in bilateral and multilateral settings will be an advantage.
