About Resource Development Division

In this role, you will have the opportunity to understand and facilitate the growth of global businesses through offering competitive solutions for their business activities in Singapore and through regional links, where appropriate. This includes developing creative policies with a regional outlook, negotiating with internal and external agencies and engaging companies on opportunities. You will also work closely with other teams within EDB to design and implement scalable business solutions to effectively engage top Asian conglomerates and create sustainable value for the Singapore economy.

You will need to understand and assess Singapore’s strategic interests, needs and develop the right solutions catered to Singapore’s position as a global business centre. You will also cultivate and maintain close ties with key influencers or decision makers in Singapore and the region ranging from government officials, industry leaders and company executives.

As a Lead/ Senior Lead, you will take on high profile roles and early responsibility. Your responsibility may include but is not limited to:

  • Performing rigorous research and analysis for policy planning
  • Conceptualising strategic solutions to enable growth of global businesses
  • Managing projects from conception to execution
  • Preparing comprehensive and succinct presentation materials
  • Travelling for short regional trips (may be required)

To meet the challenges of this role, you must have/be:

  • A degree in any discipline
  • A Singapore citizen
  • 1 - 3 years of working experience in a similar role with exposure to the region an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to synthesize information and conceptualize ideas through creative & logical thinking
  • A keen interest in Singapore’s business environment and its links to the region
  • An interest in regional policy formulation and willingness to be hands-on in implementing policy changes
  • A good team player and mediator with strong communication skills and a regional outlook
